I liked the graphics in Kirby's Superstar. Some were one-on-one fighters and some were adventures. There were about eight games to choose from in all. My personal favorite was the Samurai Kirby game. Super Star was a pretty good addition to the Kirby series. From the Super Nintendo Kirby Super Star instruction manual. One of Kirby's old foes, Meta Knight, has built a giant ship and is planning top conquer Dream Land! It's up to Kirby to destroy the ship, defeat Meta Knight, and save Dream Land.
The new adventure begins.Ī strange bird, named Dyna Blade, has come from the mountain and ruined the crops! Unless Kirby can stop him, Dream Land will be devastated! He's stolen all the food in Dream Land! The inhabitants don't like being hungry and have asked Kirby to help. And it should play like Thunder Force or something. If any old fan game I made deserves a sequel or a grade up, outside of Poke Island, it's this one. It's only three stages, but the challenge is moderate if you play smart. It's also reminiscent of Astro Boy: Omega Factor. This game plays like Rocket Knight Adventures, which in turn plays like Gradius. I remember working pretty hard on this one, what with a short story and cutscenes, especially on the custom sprites, and hey, Super Star-ized Kaboola (Kabula), before KSSU came out. Considering I like SHMUPS, this one was pretty awesome to do, and it stars Blade Knight inc. The second assignment was to make a shooter. The game's pretty difficult, though, so prepare for a challenge to clear them all. It plays a bit like the original Kirby's Block Ball, except with only three rounds. I think we had to make a breakout game, so I enhanced it. Really just a first assignment project I had back in an old game dev class.
